Worcestershire County Cricket Club continue to push boundaries with Men’s and Women’s Shirt announcement

Published 25/02/2026

2026 will see yet more evolution at New Road, with the club today confirming that both the Men’s and Women’s Rapids teams will be wearing different shirt designs for both the Vitality Blast T20 and the Metro Bank One Day Cup this summer, for the first time in the Club’s history.

The news comes the day before the official teamwear launch, where the Club and newly appointed teamwear providers Macron, will be unveiling the full 2026 teamwear collection.

Having previously worn one shirt for all forms of limited overs cricket, this year will see both Rapid’s sides wear individually designed shirts for the two formats of white ball cricket.

Players and supporters of the Rapids team will also be able to enjoy an additional feature to this year’s shirt, with specific Men’s and Women’s cuts available for the first time.

The 2026 shirts, designed with the club’s official creative partners, BEARD, are inspired by the newly engineered “Art of the Game” creative direction, blending key themes from traditional, renaissance-based, Italian art, with more modern and contemporary concepts of street art.

In a landmark move by the Club, the start of a new era with official teamwear providers, Macron, will see the club continue to break new ground on the pitch, after a record breaking start to the year saw it recently announce its best Earlybird membership window for seven years.

Placing accessibility firmly at the heart of its plans for the 2026 season, junior replica shirts have been confirmed to be priced at just £19.95 this summer, with the Club hoping the significant price reduction will enable the Club to make cricket more accessible for families across the county.

Joe Tromans, Chief Revenue Officer at the Club, said the move to produce two specially designed kits for white ball cricket this season was a pivotal step in the Club’s ongoing growth.

“Our desire and hunger to stand-out in a very crowded industry is what drives us to do things differently and constantly search for innovative ways to separate ourselves from the rest.

“The decision to produce two separate shirt designs for both Men’s and Women’s Rapids teams in this year’s white ball competitions has allowed us, in partnership with teamwear provider macron, and Creative partners, BEARD, to create two totally unique and bold shirts.

“Having an extended teamwear range this year only adds to our excitement surrounding this year’s kit launch, where I believe our supporters and members will love our new direction and the entire ‘art of the game’ concept.”
