Worcestershire keeper Ben Cox is lying second in the list of most dismissals in Division Two of the Specsavers County Championship in 2017.
The 25-year-old – once again a model of consistency behind the stumps this summer – has 32 victims to his name from 11 matches.
He is two ahead of Durham’s Stuart Poynter and four in front of Glamorgan’s Chris Cooke.
But out on his own is Nottinghamshire’s Chris Read with 47 dismissals in what is his final season of first class cricket.
Cox continues to climb the list of Worcestershire wcket-keepers in terms of dismissals and is now up to eighth spot in the all-time statistics.
He moved past George Gaukrodger during the win over Gloucestershire earlier this week onto 228 scalps.
Now Cox, who made his County debut eight years ago this month while still at Bromsgrove School, is just six short of the next on the list in former club-mate Steven Davies.
