
Worcestershire County Cricket Club will honour the memory of two legendary figures and invite Members to an exclusive forum as part of the upcoming Rothesay County Championship fixture against Durham.
Tribute to John Curtis – Friday 25 April
A heartfelt tribute will be paid to beloved Club Reporter John Curtis, who sadly passed away on 4 April following a short illness. The tribute will take place prior to the 11:00am start of Day One of Worcestershire’s Rothesay County Championship fixture against Durham at Visit Worcestershire New Road on Friday 25 April.
John was a much-loved member of the Worcestershire family, whose passion, professionalism, and storytelling enriched the club and its community for decades.
Tree Planting in Memory of Duncan Fearnley – Saturday 26 April
During the lunch interval on Day Two of the Durham fixture, a willow tree will be planted in memory of the iconic Duncan Fearnley, whose family will lead the short and small ceremony. Duncan, who sadly passed away just over 12 months ago, was a true cricketing great, both as a player and through his renowned contributions to the game through bat-making and beyond.
Members’ Forum – Saturday 26 April
Worcestershire Members are warmly invited to a Members’ Forum ahead of Day Two of the Rothesay County Championship fixture against Durham on Saturday 26 April.
Held in the Tom Graveney Lounge of the Graeme Hick Pavilion, the forum will begin at 10:15am and conclude before the start of play at 11:00am.
