The Board of Worcestershire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Dominic Riley as the new Chair of the Club. Dominic brings with him a wealth of experience in corporate leadership, marketing, and business development.
Dominic has an impressive academic background, having studied at the University of East Anglia, London Business School, and the University of Texas at Austin. His corporate career has seen him in senior management roles at companies such as Sony, the BBC, and Reed Elsevier.
Since 2008, Dominic has acted as a non-executive Chairman at over a dozen private equity-backed and family businesses, as well as serving as an Operating Partner at two PE firms, always with a focus on scaling businesses both domestically and internationally.
Dominic’s leadership capabilities were most notably demonstrated during his tenure as Chairman of the Morgan Motor Company, where he worked closely with management and family shareholders to steer the company to record profits.
Dominic Riley expressed his enthusiasm about his new role, stating: “I am delighted and proud to have been invited to Chair Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
“In particular, I welcome the opportunity to support our hardworking teams both on and off the field, and am looking forward to meeting the members and supporters as soon as possible.”
Dave Baker, Vice Chair of Worcestershire, commented on the appointment: “We are thrilled to welcome Dominic Riley as our new Chair.
“His track record of successfully leading and scaling businesses, combined with his passion for sports, will be a tremendous asset to our Club.
