WOMEN’S RAPIDS DUO LOOKING FORWARD TO WORLD CUP SEMI-FINAL AGAINST AUSTRALIA

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids duo, Charis Pavely and Ellie Anderson, are looking forward to participating in an ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup semi-final.

The duo have played an important part in England reaching the last four with a 100 per cent record from their five matches.

Now Pavely, Anderson and their team-mates are preparing for tomorrow’s (Friday’s) meeting with Australia Under-19s in Potchefstroom, South Africa.

At stake is a place in Sunday’s final against the winners of India and New Zealand in the other semi-final.

Anderson’s superb return of 5-12 in Wednesday’s win over West Indies was the best individual bowling analysis in the tournament.

She has overall figures of 9-1-29-7 from the three matches in which she has bowled.

Pavely has made her mark with the bat, scoring 87 runs at an average of 43.50 from three knocks and a strike rate of 152.63.

Anderson and Pavely were both key figures for Worcestershire Women’s Rapids during the successful 2022 season.

Australia lost their opening match to Bangladesh but have won their next four fixtures.
