TWO-DAY FRIENDLY WITH WARWICKSHIRE PUT BACK 24 HOURS

Worcestershire CCC’s two-day friendly with local rivals Warwickshire CCC at Edgbaston has been put back 24 hours.

The red ball game had originally been intended to take place on Monday, July 27, and Tuesday, July 28 but will now be held on Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29.

Worcestershire Cricket Steering Group Chairman, Paul Pridgeon, said: “Because of the extremely poor weather forecast for Monday, it has been decided to put the game at Edgbaston back 24 hours.

“Both sides are keen to get in as much competitive practice as possible before the Bob Willis Trophy gets underway at the weekend, so it made sense to start on Tuesday instead and both teams were in favour of this.”
