Three Worcestershire Women-Girls Pathway players have been selected for the ECB Regional Development Centre at Edgbaston.
Pace bowler Ellie Anderson, seamer Hannah Hardwick and leg spinner Hannah Baker will participate in the programme throughout the winter.
The promising trio will then feature in matches involving Regional Development Centre sides next summer.
It is another feather in the cap for Women-Girls cricket in the County whose Talented Player Programme is being sponsored by Malvern Active.
Only last week Rapids leg spinner Sarah Glenn was named in the England squad for next month’s ODI and T20I Series against Pakistan in Malaysia.
In addition, Baker’s potential has already been recognised as she has been selected for an England Development Programme for spin bowlers.
It will take place at the National Performance Centre at Loughborough throughout the winter.
Worcestershire Academy Coach Elliot Wilson confirmed: “Three girls have been selected into the ECB Regional Development Centre based at Edgbaston in Ellie Anderson, Hannah Hardwick and Hannah Baker.
“Hannah had already been selected into a national programme, an England Development Programme, which is the next tier in the programme after the Regional Development Centre programme.
“The three of them are members of our Under-17 squad and members of our senior squad, having played at those levels last year.
“We are delighted for them and we hope this is the first of many players to come through the Worcestershire Women’s and Girls Pathway that go onto represent or play regional cricket.
“They will have a series of sessions throughout the winter and a series of games and competitions for Regional Development Centre sides in the summer.”
