Worcestershire Women’s Rapids leg spinner Sarah Glenn bowled an economical spell as England Women defeated an ACT Women’s X1 by 47 runs in Canberra.
The match served as a warm-up for the Tri-Nations Series involving England, Australia and India Women.
Glenn, who is also part of England’s World Cup squad, was the fifth bowler used and she sent down three overs for just 13 runs with 11 dot balls.
The ACT X1 were restricted to 144-9 in their 20 overs with England employing seven different bowlers.
Earlier England Women had totalled 191-7 with Danni Wyatt (77) and Natalie Sciver (49) putting on 98 for the second wicket.
The Tri-Nation Series gets underway at the same venue on Friday with England taking on India.
Glenn has earned her opportunity after picking up 12 wickets in six ODIs and T20Is against Pakistan in Kuala Lumpur last month.
