Worcestershire pace bowler Josh Tongue picked up three wickets on his return to action for Barnards Green in a Birmingham and District Premier League eight-wicket win over Wem.
Tongue has been sidelined since June 2021 with a shoulder problem but has been back bowling in the nets at New Road recently.
The 24-year-old came into the attack first change, delivered six overs in two spells, and finished with figures of 6-0-21-3.
Wem were dismissed for 131 in 37.2 overs, and Barnards Green needed only 26.3 overs to reach their target.
Academy player, Ollie Walker, had a fine all-around match for Himley, who defeated Worfield by 81 runs.
Walker scored 70 off 82 balls with ten fours batting at number three out of a total of 288-5 and then had figures of 3-27 as Worfield were dismissed for 207.
Tom Fell and Josh Dell scored centuries for Wolverhampton and Ombersley, respectively.
Fell made 107 from 84 deliveries with one six and 14 fours in Wolverhampton’s 314-3 as they defeated West Bromwich Dartmouth (275) by 39 runs.
Dell’s 105 from 104 balls with one six and 17 fours helped Ombersley (207-3) to a seven-wicket success over Kidderminster (204).
Jacques Banton scored 27 and then took 3-31 as Barnt Green (246) defeated Berkswell (187) by 59 runs.
Reeve Evitts (3-12) was on the winning side for Kenilworth (108-2) against Leamington (104).
