Worcestershire County Cricket Club and the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation have received a positive response to their survey to gain views on the future of Worcestershire Cricket, with over 1,600 surveys returned so far. The Club have taken the decision to extend the closing date to 14 September to ensure that as many people as possible can have their say.
The comprehensive community survey is aimed at gathering insights from residents across Worcestershire and the Black Country and seeks to understand what the community envisions for the future of Worcestershire Cricket, ensuring the Club continues to grow and thrive in the region.
Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas via the survey link: www.shapeworcestershirecricket.com. The survey aims to capture diverse perspectives from all age groups and backgrounds, emphasising inclusivity and community engagement.
Ashley Giles, CEO of Worcestershire County Cricket Club, expressed his delight at the response so far, stating, “I am very pleased with the response so far, and that our community have taken the time to provide feedback on how they would like Worcestershire Cricket to look as we move forward. it is extremely important that the club listens to our supporters and stakeholders. and understand their needs and aspiration.
“We want to ensure that as many voices as possible are heard and as such have extended the survey by two weeks.
“I encourage everyone to participate and help us shape a bright and sustainable future for cricket in our region.”
In addition to contributing to the future of Worcestershire Cricket, participants will be entered into a draw to win exciting prizes, including:
