Moeen Ali has today been awarded a further Central Contract for Test and White Ball Cricket by the ECB.
The Worcestershire all-rounder is one of five players who received a Central Contract for 2017-2018 in all formats of the game.
The others are Test skipper Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes.
Moeen has enjoyed a prolific summer and been one of England’s leading performers in the triumphs over South Africa and West Indies.
It is his fourth Central Contract and testament to the impact he has made since his England debut against the Windies in an ODI in February 2014.
Since then he has been a virtual ever present in red ball and white ball cricket for his country.
Nottinghamshire paceman Jake Ball has receives a White Ball contract for the first time, having previously received an incremental deal.
Middlesex seamer Toby Roland-Jones, who made a big impact after his England breakthrough this summer, receives his first Incremental contract.
