Worcestershire Seconds will be hoping for better fortunes with the weather when they take on Gloucestershire Seconds in a three-day encounter at Cheltenham College beginning tomorrow.
Coach Kevin Sharp's side were denied probably victory by the elements against Warwickshire at Barnt Green.
Then the final day against Northamptonshire at Milton Keynes was washed out with the game evenly poised – plus the two T20 matches with Unicorns at Kynpersley.
Gareth Andrew is included in a 12 man squad and will play purely as a batsman.
He is currently on a course of injections to help overcome a recurrence of a lumbar pedicle back problem after playing in the opening two LV = County Championship matches of the campaign.
It is hoped he will be back available to bowl in the home Championship clash with Warwickshire in mid June.
All-rounder Ed Barnard, who made his competitive debut against Birmingham Bears in the NatWest T20 Blast, is included in the side, along with Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Brett D'Oliveira who also played at Edgbaston.
Spinner Shaaiq Choudhry, fresh from his career best five wicket haul against New Zealand, will again captain the side.
The Seconds will return to Championship action next week when they take on Durham at Darlington from June 1-3.
