Seconds End Campaign With New Road Clash Against Hampshire

Worcestershire Seconds will be in action at New Road when they entertain Hampshire in a three-day friendly match starting tomorrow (Monday) at 10.30am.

It will be the final match of the 2014 campaign for the Seconds who are now coached by former Yorkshire batsman Kevin Sharp who is also the county's batting coach.

The Seconds will be bidding to complete a hat-trick of wins after gaining innings victories over Middlesex at Radlett and Northamptonshire at Kidderminster.

Gareth Andrew will return to captain the side after his back injury has ruled him out of bowling again this season although the all-rounder is expected to make a full recovery.

England Under-19 wicket-keeper Joe Clarke, who this week signed a contract extension until the end of the 2016 season, is ruled out with a broken finger and Alex Milton will be behind the stumps.

The Seconds side is: Pardoe, Rhodes, Andrew, D'Oliveira, Barnard, Hepburn, Milton, Twohig, Russell, Cessford, Whiles.

A reminder that the Graeme Hick pavilion will be open to serve refreshments during the game.
