Worcestershire wicketkeeper Gareth Roderick is second in the LV=Insurance County Championship Division Two dismissals table for 2023.
Roderick has taken 37 catches and 2 stumpings in his 11 appearances, only behind Durham’s Ollie Robinson (43).
The two keepers will face each other when Worcestershire host Durham at New Road on September 19.
Roderick’s tally includes five catches in the second innings of Worcestershire’s win over Leicestershire at Oakham.
Glamorgan’s Chris Cooke (35) and Sussex’s Oli Carter (34) are the only others to have taken more than 30 dismissals this season.
Last summer, Roderick equalled the record for the most catches taken by a Worcestershire keeper in an innings in Championship cricket with six against Middlesex.
Roderick has a career total of 354 first-class dismissals.
He is also Worcestershire’s second-highest run-scorer in Championship cricket this summer with 639 runs, behind Jake Libby.
