Worcestershire Rapids will step up their preparations for the Vitality Blast with several senior players set to play in two Second Eleven T20 matches at New Road.
The Seconds take on Glamorgan tomorrow (Tuesday) and then will entertain Somerset on May 24 in the two SET20 fixtures.
With a hectic early-season LV=Insurance County Championship programme, there is little chance to practice for T20 cricket.
Worcestershire Head Coach, Alex Gidman, said: “We’ve got two games at New Road, so we will probably try to give everyone a game.
“We will try and transfer those skills (from red-ball cricket) but obviously still keeping a hard focus on the Leicestershire Championship fixture this week.
“Not much chance to practice T20? It’s pretty brutal, but it’s the same for all teams, and it’s the same every year, so kind of used to it.
“There is no way anyone would use that as an excuse, and it is just about cracking on and trying to adapt as quickly as possible.”
The Seconds went down by nine wickets to a powerful Somerset side in their opening SET20 encounter with Somerset at Taunton Vale.
Worcestershire were put in to bat and bowled out for 117 in 19.5 overs.
Two of the first three in the batting order were run out, and it was a struggle for runs throughout.
Oli Cox too-scored with 19, and Josh Dickenson (18), Henry Cullen (15), Jacques Banton (14) and Roshan Balaji (14) were the other players in double figures.
Lewis Goldsworthy (2-13), Ben Green (2-17), Jack Brooks (1-19), Marchant de Lange (1-22) and Max Waller (1-7) were the wicket-takers.
Will Smeed (54 not out) and George Bartlett (43 not out) saw Somerset to victory in 13 overs, with Balaji (1-27) taking the only wicket to fall.
