RAPIDS SPINNER HEADING FOR BIG BASH AFTER STARRING FOR ENGLAND

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids spinner Sarah Glenn is heading to the Women’s Big Bash in Australia after being voted Player Of The Series in England’s T20I whitewash of the West Indies at Derby.

Glenn will fly Down Under this weekend to play for Perth Scorchers – her first involvement in the tournament.

The 21-year-old helped England to a 5-0 success against the Windies and finished as England’s leading wicket-taker.

She picked up seven wickets in the four games where she was required to bowl at an average of 12.00 and with an economy rate of 5.60 runs per over.

Glenn was a model of consistency with figures of 1-27, 2-24, 2-18 and 2-15.

She has now taken 22 wickets in 15 T20Is since making her international breakthrough last December and has moved up 12 places in the Women’s T20I bowling rankings, breaking into the top ten.
