POLLOCK SMASHES CENTURY BUT THWARTED BY THE RAIN

Worcestershire batter Ed Pollock smashed 123 off 88 balls for Barnt Green in their Birmingham and District Premier League encounter with Halesowen.

The left hander struck seven sixes and 12 fours and put on 152 for the second wicket with Ben Chapman-Lilley (97 not out).

Pollock was second out at 194 and Barnt Green totalled 292-7 from 50 overs with Halesowen replying with 48-4 before rain intervened and forced the game to be abandoned.

Assistant Head Coach, Kadeer Ali, scored 42 off 33 balls with two sixes and five fours for champions Smethwick against Kenilworth Wardens.

His side totalled 251-7 and Kenilworth Wardens reached 40-1 before the game was called off.

Academy player Toby Cox returned 3-38 from seven overs as Ombersley (173-0) defeated West Bromwich Dartmouth (171-7) by 10 wickets.

His Academy team-mate, Nathan Jukes, made 48 for Kidderminster (177-9) but ended on the losing side as Worfield (178-7) triumphed by three wickets.

Rehaan Edavalath picked up one wicket for 25 and scored 22 for Wolverhampton (163-7) in a three wicket win with three balls to spare over Himley (160).

Hishaam Khan, who played for Worcestershire in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, made 60 off 55 balls for Moseley in their abandoned game with Knowle and Dorridge (86-2).
