Josh Baker was again in excellent form and produced a four wicket haul for Northern District CC who triumphed by nine wickets in their New South Wales Premier Cricket fixture against Fairfield-Liverpool CC.

The Worcestershire spinner finished with figures of 9-1-10-4 as Fairfield-Liverpool were dismissed for 102 in 38 overs after choosing to bat.

It followed on from his six wickets the previous weekend, and three of his victims were stumped.

Baker came on second change for the 12th over and immediately settled into a good line and length.

He struck twice in an opening spell of 2-7 from six overs and had another double success when he returned for the 34th over.

Baker was then not required to bat as Northern District knocked off their modest target in just 20.5 overs.

Ed Pollock hit a quickfire 37 to set St. George CC on the way to a five wicket win on day two of their New South Wales Premier Cricket first grade encounter versus Blacktown Mounties.

The opener made his runs off just 23 balls with five boundaries, including two off successive balls from England Under-19 spinner Josh Boyden, and a strike rate of 160.86.

Pollock was second out with the total on 66 in the 10th over but St. George maintained the momentum for the remainder of the run chase to reach 231-5 in 58.1 overs.

Ethan Brookes spent day one of Prahran’s Victorian Premier Cricket first grade fixture against Carlton CC in the field.

Worcestershire’s new signing had figures of 8-0-21-1, dismissing Conor Rutland for 47, as Carlton totalled 303-7 from 90 overs in a game to be completed next weekend.

Adam Finch took the new ball and had figures of 13-2-37-0 for Sturt CC in their South Australia Cricket Association Premier Cricket meeting with Adelaide.

Finch then got his head down with the bat to make eight off 52 balls batting at number nine as Sturt closed on 122-9 in reply to Adelaide’s 231 all out.

Gareth Roderick picked four catches behind the stumps in skippering Green Point CC to a nine wicket win over Rylands CC in the Western Province Premier Division.

Rylands were dismissed for 46 in 22 overs and Roderick was not required with the bat as Green Point reached 47-1 in 10.5 overs to clinch a sixth win in the last seven matches.

Cameron Jones bowled six overs for 21 runs as first change and made 11 off 25 balls for Collingwood Park (117 in 36.5 overs) as they lost by 20 runs to Mount Barker Bulls (137 in 37.4 overs).

Adam Hose was dismissed for a single as Desert Vipers (158-8) went down by 30 runs to MI Emirates (188-5) in the International League T20 in Abu Dhabi.
