Worcestershire County Cricket Club is proud to announce the official opening of the WODR Bar & Café at Visit Worcestershire New Road, in partnership with WODR, one of the UK’s leading commercial water consultancies.
The brand-new facility, located on the Severn-side of the iconic ground, was officially unveiled this morning ahead of the first day of the Club’s opening Rothesay County Championship fixture of the 2025 season against Durham.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Worcestershire CEO Ashley Giles, joined by Nav Qayyum and Mark Edwards, Managing Directors of WODR, alongside members of the Club’s commercial team and local media.
The WODR Bar & Café will serve members, supporters, and guests throughout the season, offering high-quality refreshments in a modern, welcoming environment that further enhances the matchday experience.
Joe Tromans, Commercial Director at Worcestershire CCC, commented: “We’re thrilled to be officially opening the WODR Bar & Café today.
“The team at WODR have been fantastic supporters of the Club, and this new space is a brilliant addition to our offering here at Visit Worcestershire New Road.
“It reflects the direction we’re moving in, blending tradition with innovation, and creating new experiences that visitors will enjoy for years to come.”
Nav Qayyum, Managing Director at WODR, added, “We’re proud to see the WODR Bar & Café come to life in partnership with Worcestershire CCC.
“It’s more than just a name on a building, it’s a symbol of shared values between our organisations: progress, community, and creating something of real quality.
“We’re excited to support the Club and its supporters, and can’t wait to see the space being used and enjoyed throughout the season.”
The WODR Bar & Café will be open for all matchdays, and is part of a wider programme of improvements being delivered at Visit Worcestershire New Road during 2025.
