Worcestershire Women’s Rapids are delighted to confirm the loan-signing of Warwickshire Academy all-rounder, Ebony-Jade Tweats.
The highly regarded all-rounder joins the club on a season-long loan, and will be available to play across all-formats.
Tweats, a gifted bowler and versatile batter, will also be available for selection ahead of Friday’s pivotal away fixture against Yorkshire.
Head Coach, Ed Wilson, wasted no time getting Tweats, into the selection frame for the Rapids next fixture, where he hopes her exciting skillset will strengthen the depth at his disposal.
“Ebony is highly talented and well thought of at Warwickshire’s Academy, she will strengthen our batting and bowling and create some more competition within the squad, she is in the squad for this weekends game against Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
“We all know the significance of both of our matches this weekend, I am looking forward to see the girls bounce back and Ebony only adds to our options ahead of the Yorkshire clash.”
After another lengthy lay-off, the Rapids travel to Yorkshire on Friday for the first of two successive T20 fixture’s, before they face Derbyshire on Saturday.
Searching for their first win of the T20 Blast campaign, all those in Rapids colours will be hoping Tweats’ arrival can ignite their campaign.
