Details for the funeral of former Worcestershire County Cricket Club Head Groundsman and valued Worcestershire supporter, Roy McLaren, are provided below.
A dedicated member of the Worcestershire family and club staff, Roy served as the club’s Head Groundsman during arguably the Pears most successful period in it’s proud history, working tirelessly and professionally for 18 years, before standing down from his post in 2001.
Roy’s kind nature and friendly personality made him one of the most popular members at Worcestershire CCC, with his warm persona and undeniable love for the club shining through to anyone who met him.
For anybody wishing to attend, the funeral will be held on at 10:30am on Monday, 3rd November, at Stourport Crematorium.
Everyone at the club would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to Roy’s family and friends, who will remember him and his contribution to the club fondly.
