Worcestershire Rapids Women can today confirm that Poppy Davies has decided to leave the club to pursue opportunities away from cricket.
The middle order batter, who appeared 13 times for the side last season, joined the Rapids from Staffordshire in 2025.
With playing time limited and commitments outside of cricket increasing, Poppy has taken the decision to focus her attentions elsewhere.
Women’s Head Coach, Ed Wilson, expressed his thanks to Poppy for her contribution at Worcestershire, and wished her well in her future endeavours.
“I’d like to thank Poppy for all her efforts during her time with us. She will always be part of our history being in the playing side for our first ever Tier 2 fixture at Headingley last year.
“Poppy is a popular member of the group and we wish her all the best beyond cricket, and she’s always welcome back!”
