The Pathway at Worcestershire County Cricket Club will later next month be attempting to break a World Record by hosting a ’24-hour bat-a-thon’, to raise funds and awareness for the JB33 Foundation.
Josh, a much-loved player and teammate, was a product of the Club’s Pathway system, where he made the successful transition from Junior cricket through to the Men’s Senior side, later making his debut in 2021.
Having left behind such an indelible mark, the Pathway are using this opportunity to raise funds for the JB33 Foundation, through Josh’s greatest passion – Cricket.
Bringing people together in such a unique way, the 24 hour ‘bat-a-thon’, held at Malvern College Indoor Centre, will see the participants try and break the world record for the most cricket balls hit in succession for 24-hours.
From 8pm on February 20th, three cricket nets equipped with bowling machines (manned by the Pathway Coaching staff) will be operating on a rotational basis for the duration of the mammoth 24-hour stint.
Families are encouraged to support, spread the word, and get involved in cheering on participants throughout the challenge, with allocations now open to book your slot below.
