Worcestershire County Cricket Club can confirm that youngster Bertie Foreman has joined the club on a short-term loan deal.
The 21-year-old spinner will link up with Worcestershire for a two-week period, providing cover during a busy run of fixtures in Division One of the Rothesay County Championship.
Foreman made his first-class debut for Sussex during last season, with his form in the 2nd XI Championship this summer catching the eye of Worcestershire Head Coach, Alan Richardson.
“We’re pleased to welcome Bertie to Visit Worcestershire New Road. With a couple of players in the squad unavailable due to injuries and fixture congestion, his arrival will give us some depth.
“This is a great opportunity for Bertie to get valuable game time in a competitive environment and provides us with some options in both departments.
“We look forward to welcoming Bertie into the group and hope he can make a positive contribution.”
Foreman is available for selection for the upcoming red-ball fixture against Warwickshire, commencing on Tuesday at Edgbaston.
