2026 Academy retained list confirmed

Worcestershire County Cricket Club can today confirm the list of retained Academy players ahead of the 2026 season. 

After another promising summer where the Academy prospered, player development and talent identification continued with a plethora of youngsters making their mark, with some individuals making the transition into the Worcestershire 2nd XI throughout the summer.

A total of 10 players have been retained in the 2026 Academy, with Pathway Lead, Elliot Wilson, highlighting what a motivated and committed group of players will be continuing their development at the club.

“Worcestershire CCC is very fortunate to have such a good group who care about their cricket, work hard and are on a journey to understand how to play cricket at the very highest level.

“This group is an extension of the first XI group and provides ten realistic options for the club to consider with the options that present themself.

“There will be challenges in 2026 but the resilience and drive within this group is highly impressive”.
