NEW ROOKIE PRO REHAAN CONTINUES EXCELLENT FORM WITH CENTURY

New rookie professional Rehaan Edavalath continued his impressive form with another century in Birmingham and District Premier League action for Barnards Green.

Edavalath had starred for Worcestershire Academy by striking 172 not out in their victory over Northamptonshire in the ECB Under-18 County Championship encounter at Kidderminster.

He followed that up by striking 130 off 157 balls for Barnards Green in the drawn match with Harborne.

Edavalath hit three sixes and 16 fours and shared in partnerships of 177 with Ryan Tongue (112) and 108 with Zain Ul-Hassan in a total of 313-2 from 55 overs.

But Harborne managed to hold onto for a draw and closed on 176-8.
Josh Dell made 53 for Ombersley, who overcame Knowle and Dorridge’s 202-9 to win by seven wickets.

Henry Cullen (42) and Reeve Evitts (36) contributed to Kenilworth Wardens’ total of 242 all out, but opponents Shrewsbury pulled off a five-wicket success.

Adam Finch (8-2-35-2) helped Wolverhampton to a six-wicket triumph over Himley, who were bowled out for 118 in 35.5 overs.

There were also two wickets for Ismael Mohammed (7-2-22-2), but his side, West Bromwich Dartmouth, were bowled out for 107 and lost by 72 runs to Bromsgrove.

Pathway player Ciaran Baker-Smith (7-1-28-2) was on the winning side for Halesowen (157-4) in a six-wicket victory over Leamington.
