MORE INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR WOMEN’S RAPID SPINNER

Worcestershire Women’s Rapids leg spinner Sarah Glenn has been included in the England Women’s squad for the three Vitality IT20 matches against India.

Glenn helped England to a 2-1 success in the WODI Series against India after the four-day Test match had been drawn.

She had figures of 0-32, 0-29 and 1-26 in the WODI Series, which included the third game being played at New Road.

Glen has now played nine WODI’s and will be looking to add to her 18 appearances for her country in W20I cricket.

The multi-format series sits at 6-4 in England’s favour, with each IT20 worth two points.

The opening match is at Northampton on Friday.

England Head Coach Lisa Keightley said: “We’ve played some good cricket across both the Test and the ODIs, and we’ve named a strong squad for the IT20 series.

“It’s 6-4 in the multi-format series, and it’s a series we’re pushing hard to win.

“We probably weren’t quite at our best in the third ODI, so I’d like us to hit the ground running in the first IT20 and be ruthless.”
