Moeen Ali will be participating in England’s three-day intra-squad match at the Ageas Bowl beginning tomorrow (11am start).
The Worcestershire CCC all-rounder is part of ‘Team Stokes’ who will take on ‘Team Buttler’ in a match being streamed live via www.ecb.co.uk
At the conclusion of the match, the national selectors will name a squad for the #raisethebat first Test against the West Indies starting on Wednesday July 8 at the same venue.
Moeen will be looking to stake a claim to feature in his first Test since the opening match of last summer’s Ashes series.
The 33-year-old has made 60 Test appearances since making his debut against Sri Lanka at Lord’s four years ago.
The three-day game will be his first match action since mid March when appearing for Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League and helping them top their group.
