MOEEN NAMED IN ENGLAND SQUAD FOR ODI SERIES VERSUS PAKISTAN

Moeen Ali has retained his place in England’s white ball squad for the Royal London ODI Series against Pakistan later this month.

The Worcestershire Rapids captain is part of a 16 strong party named by England Head Coach Chris Silverwood for the three-game series.

Moeen was selected in the opening two games of the current ODI Series versus Sri Lanka and featured in a match-winning partnership of 91 with Joe Root in Game One at Chester-Le-Street, scoring a valuable 28.

The third game in the series, in which England hold a decisive 2-0 lead, will take place at Bristol tomorrow.

Moeen will be looking to add to his 111 ODI appearances for his country.

Somerset’s Tom Banton will remain with the squad after joining up for the third ODI against Sri Lanka.

England will name their squad for the Vitality IT20 series against Pakistan later this month.
