MOEEN CLIMBS ICC T20I RANKINGS AND ON VERGE OF MILESTONE

Worcestershire Rapids Vitality Blast captain, Moeen Ali, has climbed into the top three of the ICC T20I all-rounders rankings for the first time – and is on the verge of a personal milestone.

The England all-rounder has been rewarded for an outstanding winter in T20 cricket.

Moeen helped England reach the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and then impressed in the five game IT20 Series in the West Indies.

He is now in third spot in the ICC all-rounder rankings with 205 points. It surpasses his previous best position of fifth with 172 points.

Only Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi (265) and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan (230), a former Worcestershire overseas player, are ahead of Moeen.

Moeen has become an integral part of the England T20I side and his next appearance will be his 50th for his country in that format.
He will become only the 10th England player to reach that milestone.
