LIBBY AVERAGING OVER 100 AFTER FLYING START IN COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIP

Jake Libby’s flying start to the season in the LV=Insurance County Championship means the Worcestershire CCC opener has the second-highest average in the competition at over 100.

Libby has continued where he left off last summer in the Bob Willis Trophy and, to date in 2021, has scored 411 runs in the four matches at an average of 102.75

Only Durham’s David Bedingham has a current better average of 113.40.

Libby’s tally includes two centuries – 180 not out against reigning champions Essex at Chelmsford and 117 against his former county Nottinghamshire at New Road.

His overall run tally for Worcestershire now stands at 909 from nine games at an impressive average of 69.92. 

In 13 red ball innings for the County, Libby has struck three hundreds and four fifties.
