Leg spinner Zeshan Bashir produced a memorable performance for Worcestershire Academy (Under-18s) with a seven wicket haul in the 94 run win over Shropshire Under-18s in a two-day game at Worfield.
Bashir, a member of the Worcestershire Pathway, helped bring about a major collapse by Shropshire who had reached 93-0 in pursuit of a 261 target.
He came into the attack for the 18th over and finished with figures of 13-2-35-7.
Zeshan was given excellent support by off-spinner, Imaad Mahmood who returned 10.5-1-28-3.
Shropshire lost 10 wickets for 73 runs in the space of 23 overs and were bowled out for 166 in 43.5.
Shropshire had declared at their overnight 222-5 in their first innings, a deficit of 78.
Worcestershire Academy totalled 182-9 declared from 42 overs in their second innings with Lewis Franklin (29), Gohar Nisar (26) and Haris Khan (25) the main contributors.
