Worcestershire batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore has been chosen as the Young Wisden Schools Cricketer of The Year.
Academy product Kohler-Cadmore has followed a number of England players in Johnny Bairstow (2008), James Taylor (2009) and Jos Buttler (2010) in winning the award.
He scored a record 1,409 runs in his final year of a four year scholarship at Malvern College last summer, beating the previous best by former Middlesex and England A cricketer David Nash.
Kohler-Cadmore, who has signed a three year contract with Worcestershire, amassed three scores over 150 including a top score of 186 v Oundle and averaged over 100.
He made a rapid 47 on his Worcestershire debut against Bangladesh in a List A fixture at New Road in 2013.
Kohler-Cadmore impressed when part of Worcestershire's squad for the pre-season tour of Abu Dhabi and made his LV County Championship debut in the current opening game of the season at Hampshire.
Mark Hardinges, who is in charge of cricket at Malvern College, said: "Tom is a tall, powerful young batsman with a good technique.
"Batting is his forte, although he can bowl some decent away-swingers, and catches pigeons in the slip cordon.
"He has achieved so much because he's a very good player who at schoolboy level hits the ball like a man. He also has an insatiable appetite for practice and batting."
Kohler-Cadmore was the first product of the Malvern College scholarship scheme and there is a close and strong link between the college and the county.
