Worcestershire batter, Kashif Ali, made another important contribution for Ghani Glass on his 27th birthday in the President’s Trophy encounter with Khan Research Laboratories in Karachi.
Kashif had scored a career-best equalling 133 in the previous encounter with Pakistan Television.
He followed that up by making an accomplished 46 when again opening alongside Pakistan and Yorkshire captain Shan Masood after Ghani Glass opted to bat.
Kashif put on 99 with Masood (67) and struck two sixes and four fours in his 74 ball knock spanning 107 minutes.
It took Kashif’s run tally in the tournament to 288 at an average of 36.
He helped laid the foundations for a Ghani Glass total of 390-9 from 90.2 overs with number six Junaid Ali – 116 off 148 balls – pressing home the advantage.
Meanwhile, Worcestershire all all-rounder, Jack Home, can reflect on a successful first spell with England Young Lions in South Africa.
Home scored 63 and 60 not out as well as taking a wicket on his Youth Test debut and also picked up a wicket in each of his two Youth ODI appearances.
He was one of several players rested and rotated for the second Youth Test.
England are next in action when they entertain India this summer with five Youth ODIs and two Youth Tests.
Two of the Youth ODIs are on Home’s home Visit Worcestershire Road ground on July 5 and July 7.
