HOSE TOP SCORES FOR STRIKERS AND PASSES 300 RUN MARK IN BIG BASH LEAGUE

Worcestershire batter Adam Hose top-scored for Adelaide Strikers and lifted his run tally in the 2022-2023 Big Bash League past the 300 mark in the latest match against Perth Scorchers.

Hose came in at number five at 20-3 in the fourth over and struck 30 off 23 balls with four boundaries.

His inaugural BBL campaign has so far brought Hose 301 runs, and he has moved up to eighth spot in the list of leading scorers in the tournament.

But the next highest score in the Strikers innings was 11 – by Colin de Grandhomme and Wes Agar – as the Strikers were dismissed for 92 in 17 overs after electing to bat.

The Scorchers achieved a seven-wicket win, reaching 94-3 in 11.1 overs.

With one game remaining, the Strikers are now occupying fifth position in the table and have to defeat Melbourne Renegades on Tuesday (January 24) to keep alive their qualification hopes.

Hose picked up two boundaries off Andrew Tye and one apiece against the bowling of Lance Morris and Gloucestershire pace bowler David Payne.

He was eventually sixth out with the total on 77, caught and bowled off a slower delivery from Payne.
