Adam Hose has Ben included in the Worcestershire Seconds side for their opening home County Championship match of 2023 against Lancashire Seconds at Kidderminster beginning on Monday (11am start).
Worcestershire’s new signing did not play in the LV=Insurance County Championship encounter with Durham at the Seat Unique Riverside when a fifth bowler was instead brought into the side.
Hose will feature in the first two days at Chester Road before he and pace bowler Harry Darley are replaced by Ollie Walker and Joe Stanley for days three and four.
Worcestershire begin their next LV=Insurance County Championship match against Gloucestershire at New Road on Thursday.
The Seconds will be hoping for better luck with the weather after only 34 overs were possible in the opening Championship fixture against Yorkshire at Bradford Park Avenue.
Assistant Coach Richard Jones has named a 12 strong squad which includes triallists Adnan Ghaus and Adam Sylvester.
Pat Brown will skipper the side which will include two keepers in Ben Cox and Henry Cullen.
