DOLLY PICKS UP TWO WICKETS ON RETURN TO ACTION AFTER BROKEN THUMB

Brett D’Oliveira made a successful comeback after his broken thumb for Ombersley in their Birmingham Premier League six wicket triumph over Wolverhampton.

The Worcestershire all-rounder, who suffered the setback against Derbyshire Falcons in the Vitality Blast, bowled 10 overs and finished with 2-33 as Wolverhampton were restricted to 174-7.

Matt Davis also picked up two wickets for 21 runs – including Tom Fell for 15.

D’Oliveira (22 not out) and Ross Whiteley (26 not out) then saw Ombersley to victory with 13.1 overs to spare after earlier contributions from Jack Haynes (24) and Josh Dell (38).

Alex Milton struck a rapid 96 for Bromsgrove in their 138 run win over Bridgnorth.

The wicket-keeper batsman made 96 off 56 balls with four sixes and 11 fours and put on 170 for the third wicket with Ashley Newfield (104 not out) as Bromsgrove totalled 316-3.

Milton also had a rare bowl, sending down four overs for 14 runs, as Bridgnorth were dismissed for 178 in 38.4 overs.

Zain Ul-Hassan scored 48 and picked up 2-37 as Barnt Green (288-8) defeated Shifnal (213) by 75 runs. Andrew Sutton also made a sizeable contribution and finished with 3-49 in 10 overs.

Ollie Westbury finished unbeaten on 63 from 93 balls with two sixes and three fours as Himley (204-1) defeated Barnard Green (203) by nine wickets.

Westbury put on 130 for the first wicket with Greg Wright (97).

Xavie Clarke ended with two wickets for one run and top-scored with 41 off 75 balls with six fours as Owsestry (155-7) overcame Harborne (153) by three wickets.
