Ann Mullen has been made a life member of the Worcestershire Cricket Society in recognition of her sterling efforts as secretary spanning many seasons.
Ann decided to call it a day during the summer and also relinquished her role as a long standing member of the Cricket Society committee.
The Society felt it was only right to honour her outstanding contribution with the life membership and Ann was delighted to accept.
Ann filled a vital role in many capacities in helping ensure the smooth running of the Society.
She has been responsible for organising the interesting and varied guest speakers who have entertained Cricket Society members during the winter cricket evenings – including the forthcoming 2017-2018 programme.
Committee member Mike Hitchings is continuing as the contact point for anyone wishing to get in touch with the Society (mobile 07979 464715 or email mikehitchings@aol.com) during the interim period until a new secretary can be elected.
There are only a few tickets remaining for the Cricket Society’s end of season lunch in The View on Sunday, October 8.
