COUNTY TO CONTEST ECB NATIONAL FINAL AGAINST DORSET

Worcestershire’s promising youngsters will be bidding for trophy glory when they contest the ECB National Under-15 final tomorrow (Wednesday).

The County will take on Dorset in the final at Attenborough Cricket Club in Nottingham.

Play will get underway at 11am in the 50 over final.

Worcestershire reached the final thanks to a 34 run semi-final win over Durham at Hetton Lyons CC.

Opener Rehan Edavaleth top-scored for Worcestershire after they had been put into bat.

He made 58 off 119 balls with four boundaries.

Edavaleth added 55 for the fourth wicket with Oliver Halion (29) to take the total to 126-4.

Freddie Fallows, with 34 off 22 balls, and Reeve Evitts (17 not out) added 44 for the seventh wicket as Worcestershire totalled 185-7.

Worcestershire then bowled out their opponents for 151 in 44 overs with Joe Stanley returning the fine figures of 10-2-18-4.

Halion (5-0-10-2), Robert Jones (8-2-30-2) and Fallows (10-1-28-2) were also amongst the wickets.
