George Rhodes played a key role with bat and ball as Onslow CC came out on top via the Duckworth-Lewis Method in a Ewen Chatfield Trophy clash with Upper Hutt CC.
The Worcestershire all-rounder picked up two wickets and held two catches as Upper Hutt were bowled out for 123 in 35.4 overs.
He finished with figures of 5-0-17-2.
Rhodes then struck an unbeaten 31 in reply on a difficult pitch as Onslow reached 97-4 off 24.5 overs in reply to claim the points.
He hit three boundaries in his 49 ball knock batting at number four.
Ollie Westbury suffered weather frustration as the second day of Grafton United’s Auckland Cricket Premier Men’s Tom Hellaby Championship match with North Shore was washed out.
The Worcestershire batsman had been set to resume on 30 not out as Grafton aimed to surpass North Shore’s first day total of 209 all out.
But the elements prevented any play at all today and the game was abandoned.
