Ed Barnard was amongst the wickets for Queanbeyan District on the opening day of their Australian Capital Territory first grade match with visiting Western District UC.
The Worcestershire all-rounder had showed his prowess with the bat last weekend in scoring 76 in the win over Tuggeranong Valley.
This time England Under-19 player Barnard took the new ball and was rewarded with three of the first four wickets to fall.
His efforts helped reduce Western District to 67-4 after they had elected to bat before they recovered to reach 248 all out.
Barnard finished with figures of 3-58 from 12 overs.
He may also be required to make another sizeable contribution with the bat if Queanbeyan are to reach their target next weekend.
They had scored 113-3 off 39 overs with Barnard coming to the wicket shortly before the close and yet to open his account.
Ross Whiteley was dismissed for a single as Prospect CC were beaten by Port Adelaide on the second day of a South Australian Cricket Association 'A' grade fixture.
Whiteley had scored 98 not out against Sturt last weekend and rain denied him a second hundred of the winter.
But this time the New Road all-rounder was second out with just five runs on the board and his side reached 160 all out in 84.2 overs.
It was a target Adelaide reached for the loss of four wickets in 62.5 overs.
