CORNALL AND FINCH TO FACE EACH OTHER IN FIRST GAME AFTER FLYING OUT TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Worcestershire duo Taylor Cornall and Adam Finch will make their first winter appearances in the South Australia Cricket Association first-grade competition tomorrow – and will be in action against each other!

Opener Cornall has linked up with New Road pace bowler Dillon Pennington at Adelaide for the next couple of months.

They will entertain Sturt, who have included pace bowler Finch in their line-up in addition to ex-Worcestershire all-rounder Ed Barnard.

It is a two-day encounter that will conclude next weekend (January 14).

Cornall and Pennington, who played one game before Christmas, will be looking to revive Adelaide’s fortunes.

They are currently bottom of the 13-team table without a win from their opening five games.

Finch will be aiming to help Sturt maintain their push for a place in the playoffs, and they currently lie in sixth position.

Pace bowler Ben Gibbon (Willetton CC), and keeper-batter Henry Cullen (Plenty Valley CC), also return to action after a three-week break for the festive season.
