how would you like the chance to bowl in the nets at New Road against england women’s world cup winning stars and south africa’s women?
that opportunity could arise next thursday and friday (june 7 and 8) ahead of the royal london one-day international between the two countries at the county’s headquarters on june 9.
the same opportunity presented itself last summer ahead of the england lions-south africa encounter at new road.
however, bowlers interested in taking part again must be of birmingham league standards.
worcestershire academy coach elliot wilson said: “we are looking to recruit net bowlers to bowl at the england and south african players ahead of the women’s international here.
“it was a fantastic achievement by england to win the world cup and it is a wonderful opportunity for club cricketers of a decent standard to bowl at both sides in the new road nets.”
the session times are:
thursday, june 7: england women – 14.00-17.00.
friday, june 8: england women – 10.00-13.00; south african women – 14.00-17.00.
anyone interested in taking part should contact elliot wilson by e-mailing: elliot.wilson@wccc.co.uk as soon as possible.
