Worcestershire batter Kashif Ali and his Ghani Glass team-mates need a strong finish to the 2025 President’s Trophy in Pakistan if they are to qualify for the final.
Kashif, who this week hit a superb 133 against Pakistan Television, and Ghani Glass are currently lying in fourth spot in the eight-team table at the half-way stage.
They have won two and lost two of their opening quartet matches to collect a total of 58 points.
The top two go through to the final and Kashif and Co need to take advantage of their game in hand to close the gap on current second placed side Pakistan Television (88 points).
Kashif is currently Ghani Glass’s second highest run scorer with 242 at an average of 34.57, just behind Sharjeel Khan (264 at 37.71).
In addition to the century, he has put together several important contributions despite some often challenging conditions in which to bat.
Ghani Glass return to action this weekend in the first class competition again Khan Research Laboratories in Karachi.
They will then take on Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (starting February 13), State Bank Of Pakistan (February 19) and Water and Power Development Authority (February 25).
Kashif will report back to Visit Worcestershire New Road with his team-mates next month to continue preparations for the 2025 campaign.
