A memorial service to celebrate the life of Worcestershire Cricket Society Chair Richard Shaw will be held at Worcester Cathedral on Tuesday, April 4, at 2.30pm.
Richard passed away last month aged 76, having been Society Treasurer for four years and then Chair since December 2018.
He was also a steward at New Road for many years and the Chair – and a trustee – of the Battle Of Worcester Society.
Norton born Richard had a lengthy career as a police officer in the West Mercia force, rising to the rank of Chief Inspector, and then 11 years working as a civilian claims investigator for the force.
All are welcome to attend the memorial service, and it will be followed by tea and cakes served in the Chapter House.
A private crematorium and service at Worcester Crematorium, Astwood Cemetry, will be held earlier in the day.
