BEN GIBBON IN FINE FORM HEADING INTO TOP OF THE TABLE ENCOUNTER

Worcestershire pace bowler, Ben Gibbon, has quickly made his mark for Willetton CC with a series of impressive T20 performances.

The left armer has helped Willetton make a flying start to Group D in the Western Australia Cricket Association Premier T20 competition.

They top their group after winning their opening three games and now face nearest rivals, Scarborough CC, this weekend.

Gibbon has made important contributions to all three victories and has been sharing the new ball.

On his debut, Gibbon helped Willetton to a 43 run away win over Country XI.

He dismissed top scorer, Julian Crudeli, for 35 and finished with 4-0-18-2 as Willetton (150-6) restricted their opponents to 107-9.

Willetton then staged a home double header versus Mount Lawley and Rockingham Mandurah, and won both games.

Mount Lawley reached 63-2 in reply to Willetton’s 132-7 but then Gibbon took two wickets without addition to the score.

He ended with 4-0-22-2 as Mount Lawley closed on 106-6.

On the same day in Game Two, Gibbon gave little away and returned 4-0-13-1 as Rockingham Mandurah were bowled out for 85 in 17.3 overs.

Willetton triumphed by seven wickets and reached their modest target in just 11.4 overs.

Gibbon has overall figures of 12-0-53-5 heading into the meeting with Scarborough.
