Worcestershire Supporter’s Association’s popular Fifty-Fifty competition will return after a 12 month break in 2026 in time to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Association.
The competition has raised many thousands of pounds during several decades – with all profits going to the Ground Improvement Fund.
It has provided funds towards many projects at Visit Worcestershire New Road including ground covering sheets and the re-covering of the mobile covers in recent times.
Long-serving organiser Dave Kennedy is taking a break from running the competition in 2025 for “unforeseen circumstances” although not concerning health issues.
But Dave, responsible for overseeing the membership of several hundred members each year and the four draws from June to September, insists it is only a temporary withdrawal from a project dear to his heart.
He said “Rest assured the competition will resume in 2026 and I will be especially proud to help run and organise it, along with my wife Rosemary, in the Association’s 75th anniversary year.”
