Andrew And Choudhry Brought In As County Reach 57-1 By Lunch

Worcestershire Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes made two changes for the two-day friendly match with Gloucestershire which was due to get underway at New Road today.

All-rounder Gareth Andrew and spinner Shaaiq Choudhry came into the side in place of Joe Leach and Brett D'Oliveira respectively.

Leach and D'Oliveira were part of the team beaten by one wicket by Gloucestershire in yesterday's 50 over friendly.

Worcestershire: Oliver, Kohler-Cadmore, Fell, Gidman, Kervezee, Whiteley, Cox, Andrew, Choudhry, Shantry, Morris.

Gloucestershire made six changes to their line-up with Kieran Noema-Barnett, Gareth Roderick, Jack Taylor, Craig Miles, Liam Norwell and Tom Hampton brought into the team.

The match was scheduled to consist of two days of 96 overs play and, if a team is able to bat for a full day, they then have to declare and allow the opposition to bat on the second day.

But a heavy shower meant play was unable to get underway until 12 noon with play today reduced to 80 overs duration.

Worcestershire were put into bat after Gloucestershire won the toss with Tom Kohler-Cadmore again partnering Richard Oliver in Daryl Mitchell's absence.

James Fuller took the new ball and Oliver square cut his second delivery for four and then picked up another boundary with an off drive against Craig Miles.

Oliver drove Miles for successive boundaries but after making 19 out of 21 was caught by Ian Cockbain at mid wicket off the same bowler.

Kohler Cadmore pulled and cover drove Liam Norwell for four and Tom Fell hit Tom Hampton for six backward of square.

By lunch Kohler-Cadmore had moved onto 16 and Fell 22 out of 57-1 from 15 overs.
