Worcestershire County Cricket Club are pleased to announce the loan signing of all-rounder Ben Allison for the next two Vitality County Championship fixtures. Allison, who previously joined Worcestershire on loan for the conclusion of the 2023 County Championship, will rejoin the Visit Worcestershire New Road outfit for the home clash against Surrey and an away fixture at Durham.
Allison has appeared in four Vitality Blast matches for Essex this season. Despite his loan to Worcestershire, he remains available for Essex’s upcoming shortest-format fixtures against Hampshire and Kent before making his way to Visit Worcestershire New Road.
Head Coach Alan Richardson expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Ben back to Worcestershire.
“His previous stint with us showcased his potential and commitment, and we believe he will be a valuable addition to our squad for these crucial fixtures. This opportunity allows Ben to gain more game time and continue his development as a cricketer, and we are excited to see him in action again.”
