Worcestershire keeper-batter Gareth Roderick hit his first century of the winter for Green Point when skippering them to a 231 run over Milnerton in a Western Province Premier Division fixture.
Roderick continued the form he had shown at Visit Worcestershire New Road last summer when he picked up four trophies at the end of season Gala Awards Evening.
He went in at number three and smashed 120 off just 75 balls with two sixes and 14 fours.
He put on 119 for the second wicket with Aaron Smit (88) and 101 for the third with Adam Scher (36).
Roderick was eventually fourth out with the total on 318 as his side amassed 368-5 in their 50 overs and then dismissed Milnerton for 137 in 28.5 overs.
It secured a first 50 over win of the campaign for Green Point after they had lost their opening two games.
Roderick, who hit four hundreds in all competitions for Worcestershire last summer, had scored 21 off 33 balls when Green Point (212) went down by 47 runs to Belville (259-9).
He was then second top scorer with 34 off 60 balls, putting on 67 for the first wicket with Daniel Briggs, as Green Point (195) were edged out by two wickets against Durbanville (196-8).
Roderick has scored more than 600 runs in each of the previous two winters when skippering Green Point.
Fellow Worcestershire keeper-batter, Henry Cullen, also made a big impact for Woodville in their victory over Prospect in the South Australia Cricket Association Premier Crickett two-day first grade fixture.
Cullen had taken two catches on day one on Saturday when Prospect were dismissed for 201 in 72.3 overs.
He came the wicket on Sunday at 73-3 and struck an unbeaten 66 to help Woodville to a four wicket win as they reached their target in 64 overs.
Cullen continued on from the form which had seen him hit 234 for Worcestershire Seconds – the club’s highest ever individual score in the Second Eleven Championship – against Northamptonshire in the final game of the season.
He faced 136 balls and hit six boundaries and put on 88 for the fifth wicket with Will Foley (39).
Young Worcestershire pace bowler, Harry Darley, was on the winning side for the first time for Ulverstone in a Cricket North West men’s first grade fixture against Westbury.
Darley is currently playing purely as a batter as he recovers from injury.
He went in at number six and made 11 off 29 balls as Ulverstone overhauled Westbury’s 130 all out in 44.4 overs to win by three wickets with 3.5 overs to spare.
Darley had scored 14 and 12 respectively in the opening two matches against Burnie Hurricanes and South Launceston.
Worcestershire opener Ed Pollock is scheduled to make his first appearance of the winter next weekend for St. George in a New South Wales Premier Cricket first grade fixture against Campbelltown.
